ThreadSum - Slack threads, summarised before you open them

A Chrome extension that turns a 140-message thread into five bullets you can act on.

Why I kept opening Slack threads at 9am that had 140 messages in them. By the time I'd read them, the decision had been made without me.

How it was built Claude Code wrote the first extension scaffold in about twenty minutes. Then the real work: three weeks of fixing the summaries when threads had code blocks, when people edited messages, when the thread was in a huddle. The prompt went through eleven versions. The final one is 40 lines and I'm weirdly proud of every one.

What you get The packed extension (side-load in Chrome), the prompt, and a README on pointing it at your own API key. Nothing leaves your browser except the thread text to the model you chose.
