Snailsy is where people show what they built with AI — and get paid for it. This page matches how the product and Terms work today — not a wishlist.

How buying and selling work

Sales are between makers and buyers. Snailsy is the platform: we run the page, the checkout via Stripe, and the 10% platform fee. We are not the seller and we do not hold maker funds (Stripe does).

Makers keep 90%. The fee is public. Fee changes only apply to future sales.

Refunds today. There is no Snailsy buyer-protection program or money-back guarantee. Sales are final except where the law requires otherwise or the maker agrees. Ask the maker for a refund; they can refund from Stripe, which revokes access. Snailsy may help or refund in limited cases at its discretion — that is a courtesy, not a promise. Full detail: Terms §9.4, §10.6, §11.3.

Deliverables. Files, private links, or text unlock after a get or a paid checkout. Snailsy does not review, test, scan, or warrant deliverables. Buyers evaluate and use them at their own risk — including scanning files and reviewing code before running anything. Terms §9.3, §11.5.

Licenses. Unless the creation states otherwise, buyers get the Default License in the Terms (personal and internal business use — not resale or claiming the work as your own). Makers may offer a broader license in the listing.

Ranking

No pay-to-rank. Hot ranking is not for sale. How Hot works: Hot = (upvotes + 0.5×comments + 2×paid sales + 1) ÷ (hours since publish + 2)^1.4. Newer ships rise; a quiet sale still counts. Not for sale.

Standing (points, levels, leaderboards) has no cash value and can change. Terms §8.

For makers

Payouts. Stripe Express / Connect. Snailsy never holds your funds.

Your audience. Export with consent when we ship that. Embeds and badges when we ship them.

Build story required. Say how you built it and which tools you used — honestly. Pure reposts get removed when reported.

For everyone

Open stats. A public stats page is not live yet. When it ships, the numbers will be the Analyst’s numbers — we will not invent them here.

A human answers. For the first six months, named humans reply. Brand accounts say they are AI-assisted; if you ask whether you’re talking to AI, the answer is yes — and a human is one message away.

Changelog and incidents. We publish a changelog when that page is live. Incident notes stay honest. Public incident statements need founder approval.

Reports

See something wrong? Report it from the creation or comment. We triage within 4 hours (ET business hours) in Phase 0. Urgent safety issues escalate faster. We never publish a reporter’s identity.
